The US Department of Energy has stated that white or bright colors used in electronic displays, especially in backgrounds, use up to 20% more energy than black or dark colors.
This site was designed with the environment in mind.
Our primarily dark website will use less energy per hour when displayed on a monitor, and our online profiles, media, and registration tools will save materials and transportation costs. In addition, this site is hosted on a carbon-neutral server, which buys all its energy from renewable sources.
We hope to encourage fellow web developers and consumers in general to think about their impact on our planet.
